David, you are such a great visualist that writing a screenplay, locked in a room for hours on end might drive you uniquely mad. I read every post and entry as another episode on this serial of the "Adventures of the COTW."
I am totally pulled into your story with each post. Hey maybe this is the new way to create a script.
As I read your blog, I see the work God is doing in your life. He has gifted you in many areas and I see your life in Africa as a place where those talents are being used.
I was helped by a book during a season of confusion in my life. May I suggest you read, "God is not a Smart Planner" :)
Deep, satisfying, and true contentment for the artist? An illusion -- the price the artist must pay for the privilege. You're awake and living -- enjoy!!
From the comments above (as well as my visceral reaction to your post and photos), it's clear you've got a whole mess of friends living vicariously through your adventure. Keep it going, COTW! WAKE UP AND LIVE indeed!
Yo David, great pics again! Marcus.

Hey DDM, Jack Smith turned me on to your blog and I'm now a regular reader. Love to watch vicariously as you develop your life and work in Africa.
ReplyDeleteI was in Benin and Ghana in May for some work stuff. So much to do in Africa, and so hard to figure out how to do it (fund it) and sustain it.
I might be back on the continent in a few months. If I get anywhere near Nairobi I will give you a shout.
