okay, looks like cooler heads have prevailed.
i'm not going to sailing school in Portugal in November via Switzerland.
i'm not selling everything just yet.
i'm not starting the third and final act of my life yet.
and i'm not buying a catamaran to sail around the world. yet.
however...
i am going to a sailing school in cape town in december.
i am sailing off cape town and doing overnighters on a friend's boat.
i am back in show business 100% and i am working again!
and i did take a flat in town back in the CBD...city bowl district...in downtown cape town, the mother city!
i'm back!
above The Piazza (my old building) in Adderley Terraces, K-04....above the fray. got a good deal on the rental price, so now i have a flat in town in the clouds, AND the cat inhabited cottage in Stanford. 2 cribs!
also looks like i'm teaching my Master Class in Egypt in January with a possible junket to Beirut, 'the Paris of the Med', then to the Cayman Islands in February with a stopover in Alabama on the way back. so, your favorite COTW is back on the road.
i gotta say, being back in the CBD is so great! so much to do! so easy to get around! i park my car 15 stories up and leave it! then walk, bus, Uber, or mini-taxi everywhere i go!
getting more fit by being way more active! and close to cinema and theatre and eateries and coffee joints and old friends! the big question now is do i sell the cottage?????? and if so, when? christmas is a the busiest season due to peak of summer. maybe i'll find a choice buyer!
and things have been picking up work-wise and life-wise. just popping. so i think taking K-04 was the right call. besides, the 2 hour commute each way from stanford for the odd casting was killing me. too much wear and tear on me and the TT!
so overall, ddm is back in town! and loving it! and i jam out to the country on the weekends. pretty sweet deal! super blessed!
here are some pics. that's all the scoop for now. doing more Voiceover work which it always a treat, and had a recurring role on 'Deep State' for Fox UK appearing in 3 episodes for 2019. i can't believe living in south africa i'd be building my IMDb credits as much as i have. incredible.
oh yeah, and then there was the day i lost my DJI Mavic air drone at sea shooting whales in Walker Bay. doh!!!!!! not nice! but got some amazing footage the day before.
media wise, i'm loving The Man In the High Castle on Amazon Prime, and Patriot, Mrs. Maisel; on Netflix: Manhunt: Unabomber, Collateral (series), Secret City, and i'm keen to see The Bridge (season 4?), and i just saw First Man. meh.
A Star is Born is next.
well, that's it on my side. ddm is banging! city life is hopping!
my love to you all! keep those cards and letters coming in!
thanks for following my new life adventures!
i just passed 7 years arriving in Africa!
